With Christmas just a rain-soaked day away, it's time once again to check on my progress through the IMDb Top 250.
Two months ago I reported good news, having boosted my total to 115 since narrowing down my task to filling out the Top 100. But despite my best efforts since then, my total has now slipped back to 111, due mainly to the lowest sections changing drastically and entries thereby falling out. It's times like this that I might liken my predicament to that of Sisyphus, the Greek king condemned by Zeus for all time to push a boulder up a hil, only for it to roll back down again once he had reached the top.
Nevertheless - and in part to mitigate my own pomposity at such a reference - I shall be pushing on with this boulder of a task all the bolder in 2014. In the short term you can look forward to reviews of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Finding Nemo, along with anything I manage to catch on the list in the Christmas period, including the second Hobbit film.
