As many of you will now be aware, film critic Roger Ebert died on Thursday at the age of 70. Normally I would have marked his passing with an obituary blog entry on here, but as I typed I found I had more to say about Ebert and his legacy than a short blog would have allowed.
Instead, I've put my thoughts into an article for WhatCulture!, which you can read here. I've not written anything on the site since my article about The Party last December, but it seemed like the right place for a long and broader tribute.
There's nothing more to say really, except RIP Roger and thanks for everything. Hope you and Gene Siskel don't argue too much in heaven.
