Another witty little something from Letters of Note, in the absence of a new review (apologies).
This time we turn our attention to Spike Milligan and Monty: His Part in My Victory, the third of his five volumes of war autobiography originally published in 1976. In February the following year, Milligan received a letter from a disappointed fan, complaining about (amongst other things) the large amount of one-liners and lack of mention for how Milligan met his Goon Show counterparts, Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe. The following is Spike's typically hilarious and provocative reply.
