Broadclyst Theatre Group: Cinderella

While 2014 may have come and gone, panto season is still very much upon us. And having reported on a number of pantomimes taking place in south Somerset in my capacity as a Western Gazette reporter, at the end of the month I'll be making a pilgrimage back to Devon to catch Broadclyst Theatre Group's latest offering, Cinderella.

Not being a cast member in this particular production, as I was in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this time last year, plot details for this panto are relatively scarse. But on the basis of my time with the group, I can safely say that you're in for a treat. Anyone expecting a straightforward rehash of the Disney version will probably be disappointed, but for those who like good dancing, a lively dame and funny slapstick, you'll definitely get your money's worth.
Cinderella is playing at Broadclyst Victory Hall from Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st January. All performances are at 7:30pm, but there is a matinee on the Saturday at 2:30pm if you're struggling for a babysitter. Tickets can be purchased at Broadclyst Post Office or online via TicketSource here, and if you come on the Saturday night, you might just be able to buy some from Aimee and me. If you need any further convincing, here's the first 15 minutes of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for your delectation and amusement...
