It's the 23rd day of an even-numbered month, which must mean it's time for me to take stock of my journey through the IMDb Top 250, which I began last August. Last time around I had managed 112 films - and now that has dipped ever so slightly to 111.
But I'm not here to make excuses. The main reason for the lack of progress is that my viewing habits have changed, quite reasonably, due to my job. I've had a little less time for films in general, and have not made the conscious effort to make progress. You'll be pleased to know that I recently invested in a copy of Raging Bull (#99), and I will make every effort in the next two months to add to this list. Despite appearances to the contrary, I am taking this seriously.
So, after all that grovelling, here's where we stand. As before, blue means I need to re-watch and red means I gave a score of 2.5/5 or less, and therefore I don't think it deserves to be there. Keep an eye on the blog for future reviews, and I'll report back in two months.

Last time around I had the excuse that a lot of the newer stuff I had seen had quickly dropped out - Skyfall being a good example. And in my defence the last two months have seen one or two highly venerated titles drop out, at least temporarily. Battleship Potemkin was already near the bottom, but Princess Mononoke was #93 last time around and now it is nowhere to be seen - a reminder that the IMDb chart is a fickle beast that cannot easily be tamed or conquered.
